The Blue Lake Holiday Park is situated in Mount Gambier, which is approx 430 kms from Adelaide or 20 kms from the SA/Vic border. The park sits just a stones throw away from an extinct volcano, which now houses the infamous Blue Lake.
Locating the park is easy with its bold signage at the entrance.
Access is also easy with plenty of room to pull up in the check in lane before heading into the office.
Once you've checked in with the team and received your boom gate code, you will notice just how neat and tidy the park is with attention to detail landscaped gardens. Just behind the boom gate where the roads split, you'll also find a directory of the local area.
To the right of the office is a large indoor heated swimming pool, complete with 2 water slides. These certainly keep the kids entertained (with parental supervision of course).
Within the park you'll find a games room and jumping pillow, a playground and even a little fairy garden built around a large tree stump.
Although the park is situated on the side of a hill, the owners have certainly done a good job in keeping the caravan sites quite level.

The caravan sites along the fence line of Bay Road, are of a good size allowing room for your caravan, your car and enough room to open your awning also.
There are 2 amenities blocks, so wherever your site is, it is never a far walk to use these services. Within one of the amenities blocks, you will also find a communal laundry.
The park also offers a communal camp kitchen with plenty of room to spread out while creating your masterpiece, and room to sit outside the kitchen with your family or friends.
Although the prices to stay at this holiday park are quite high, we have stayed in parks more expensive than this one.
If we were not travelling on a budget, we would certainly stay at this park again.
